Paediatric room
Brainstorming
With the three panels inside the paediatric room, we decided to use the same theme as the wallpaper outside the room, which is “Under the sea”. Starting with the ocean theme, we created a story of 3 friends and they all want to explore the under the sea world.

Character design
We chose different animal to be our character to because it is a neutral creature and familiar with the kids or even adult.
Crocodile, Rabbit, and Panda are our main characters of the story. The three are friends and they decided to go on an adventure together to explore the ocean. With each character, we wanted to create a background story and also their personality.
Draft
Sketch and first draft
With the "under the sea" theme which we were both agree on, we started on designing the mural together, sharing the draft back and forth to improve each other drawing
First wall: introducing the 3 main characters (a close up)

Final draft
In week 2, we had our first meeting discussing about the design of the murals. We received a lot of good feedback on the design and the characters. There was only one concern on the background colour of the three murals inside the paediatric room. With the dark colour, the staff afraid that it will darken the room and it might not suitable for younger kids, which we agreed with them.

Second wall: Travelling under the sea (glow in the dark element)

With this mural, changing the colour only didn’t help because we didn’t really like the design overall. Therefore, we played around with the composition of the submarine and simplified the design. This is the final design for the mural. I kinda like this better than the previous one.
Third wall: the end of the trip (saying goodbye to the sea creature)
