About the internship
This internship is a project-based internship which is hosted by KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. The project is created for the Children Department. The aim of this project is to make a hospital environment into a friendly and lovely place. The younger kids are usually afraid of going to the hospital; therefore our task is to make them feel better so that they can corporate with the doctors.
In this project, Aisha and I have a chance to work closely with two department of the hospital which are QSRM and DDII. Giving the chance to work on this project is a great opportunity for me. Not only I get to practice art and bring it to the general audience I but also have the chance to use it for a good purpose.
There are two parts of the project, mural designing and paper craft design. The idea is to bring colours to different areas within the Children Department, such as the paediatric room, the waiting area and the hallway. Aisha and I need to come of with the design for each mural based on the aims that are given to us, creating the flow for the mural, and choosing colours.
