After finishing 90% of the second mural, we started to apply the glow in the dark paint. While shopping at Artfriend, we found a kid-friendly glow in the dark paint which is also water based, so we decided to buy that instead of the Pebeo one. Although it needed to have a lot of layers, the outcome is very nice. However, the glow in the dark paint will only appear if the room is completely dark or else it could’t show clearly.

Logo

The KKH staff also want to have the department logo as the badge on the characters because the mentioned that in the future they might want to have the character as their department mascot. By the end of that week Saturday, we decided to paint the logo on top. However, it did not turn out the way that we like, it looked really off compared to the rest of the mural. Because it the add-on details later on, we did not know how should we draw that. We supposed to end painting a day on Saturday but because of that badge, we need to leave it to the next day to finish (We were too tired on that day:()

Finishing up the third mural

This week tasks is to finishing all three murals. We spent the first three days finishing the the third panel and as we had learnt our lesson before (eat before start the mural) this week was very productive. Everything went smoothly and we finished the third mural earlier according the the schedule. On Saturday, we spent a day to touch up all the small details for the three panels like the outline of the character, the submarine and one layer of the glow in the dark paint.

The next day we came to finish up the badge. With the refresh point of view, we managed to paint the logo and made it fit the painting. We decide to spent the rest of the day document and take picture of all three murals. Documenting is very important while making an artwork therefore we decided to bring our camera and took good photos for these murals.
