Idea and sketch
Different from the other two murals, this mural we proposed to have a workshop with the KKH staff. The drawing will be designed by us and based on their idea.

In the second meeting, we discussed about the collaboration between the two of us and the staff for the long wall. Because the long wall is in the middle of the waiting area and the paediatric room, they want the design to have both the ocean and land which make them think of the beach. ​The staff suggested a design where there are different animals relaxing at the beach and there is one animal flying an aeroplane.
Draft
Based on their description, this is what we came up with, however the size of the drawing is not correct therefore we need to resize and add more characters. Designing on the correct size is very important for mural painting because what you see on your ipad and what you draw on the wall is different, therefore having an exact sized drawing is very helpful.
After resizing the drawing, we realised that there are a lot of empty space, so we decided to create more characters for the drawing. However, with this design, we did not see any connection between the characters, there isn’t any stories or conversation between them. In addition, the character design among the animals were not consistent. This design was not good enough in our opinion.
Final draft
We did another draft and this one we like it so much better. We kept the number of animals to four and put them all in the middle of the drawing, so that the attention will be drawn to the middle of the drawing. The design we also decided to use big shape and keep it simple because it will be better for the hospital staff.
